Visas for BRAZIL
Step 1: Have a Valid Passport
You must have a passport with at least 6 months of validity remaining and two facing visa pages available for a business visa or one visa page for a tourist visa. If you need to obtain a United States Passport, renew a US Passport or add pages, we can help you with that - see "Get a US Passport" above. Non-US Passport Holder, click here for additional, important information.
Step 2: Complete Brazil application online
As of June, 2008 all Brazil applications must be completed online. Click the icon below to begin the application. Choose "Solicitar Visto/ Visa Request" and follow the steps provided. Once you have completed the application, print and sign the final page which has several barcodes on it. You will not get a printed copy of the application itself; that is electronically transmitted to the Brazilian Consulate in Chicago. Any errors made online (spelling, etc.) will be transferred to the visa and American Visa Service is not responsible for online mistakes; you will have to re-submit an application and pay again to correct errors. Please fill in all fields or the application even if they are not marked as "required" or the application may be rejected.

Step 3: Assemble Documents
We will take your documents to the Consulate of Brazil and once the visa has been issued, pick it up and ship it to you.
There may be occasions when the Consulate will want to see additional documentation; AVS will contact you as soon as we are notified of any problems. We cannot always predict what additional items the Consulate may need to see.
In addition to your completed application, you must provide the following:
