Visas for Taiwan


 

Below you will find the requirements to obtain a visa for Taiwan. Once you complete gathering the documents, choose your processing time and place your order online or use the paper order form. If you have questions at any point in the process, click the  and you will be directed to a pop-up page with more information; close that once your question is answered and proceed.


Please note: US Passport holders do not need a Visa for Taiwan for tourist or business trips of under 30 days. 

 
Jurisdiction: If you reside in the following States you can use the information below: IA, IL, IN, MI, MN, OH or WI. If you reside outside these states, contact us for information.

 

Requirements:

  • Signed Passport with at least six months validity and blank visa pages

  • Two passport-type photos

  • One completed and signed online application. The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office which issues visas for Taiwan now requires all applications be made online. This is a somewhat slow site so please be patient, Once completed, the application must be printed and signed. Click HERE to begin the application

  • Original Business Letter from company in the U.S. (for Business Visas)

  • Invitation from Company in Taiwan (for Business this is not always required but
    AVS recommends it be included if possible)

  • Copy of flight itinerary on Travel Agency letterhead or copy of tickets

  • (for Tourism) Copy of Hotel Reservation or Host letter if staying with friends or family

  • (for Non-US Passport holders) Copy of front and back of Alien Registration Card
    ("Green Card") or copy of U.S. visa in Passport

Processing Times and Fees:

Regular Processing: 6 -7 Business days - Service Fee: $75

Rush Processing: less than 6 Business days - Service Fee: $125

Taiwan charges: $60 for visas

After billing, shipping and credit card info is completed you will receive shipping instructions. If you need more than one Service, either place separate orders online or use option 2 below.
  2. If you prefer not to place an online order or need multiple Services, click HERE for our paper order form. Complete all information and ship your documents to the address at the top of the form. Your credit card will be charged once the work is complete and we will include a receipt with your returned passport.
